Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) Awarded Contract by Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals to Conduct Surveys

HMS Shares Iowa's Commitment to Protecting Vulnerable Populations through Nursing Home Recertification Surveys and Complaint Investigations

The Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA) has awarded Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) a contract to support its work by providing qualified surveyors to conduct long-term care (nursing home) recertification surveys including complaint investigations.

Recertification surveys are required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for all certified nursing homes. HMS will be partnering with Iowa's DIA in inspecting nursing homes' critical element pathways, conducting a comprehensive review of everything from infection control and nursing services, medication, diet and exercise, patients' rights, the physical environment and much more.
