The combination of MassCultivatED's workforce preparedness programs & the EzHire Cannabis technology platform will enable candidates to be put front & center with prospective employers. Leveraging the EzHire Platform, candidates will have full profiles that include video introductions along with badging to highlight their completion of MassCultivatED courses.

According to EzHire Cannabis CEO Jacob Carlson, "the cross-section of Multi-State Operators already onboard, provides the mission to improve representation within the industry will have a finally have a clear path to employment post-graduation."
With the continued rapid growth of the cannabis job market, projected to hit 1.75 million jobs by 2025, an often overlooked element has been how to meaningfully impact diversity & inclusion. While Carlson acknowledges that "change will not happen overnight" EzHire Cannabis has continued to make technology investments in furthering the initiative as a Minority Owned Business itself.

As part of the partnership, those who complete MassCultivatED workforce preparedness courses will be set up with profiles on the EzHire Cannabis platform & presented to employers at various Multi-State Operators including MedMen, Ayr Wellness, and Green Thumb Industries.

"Careers in the cannabis industry continue to grow, but many individuals targeted by the War on Drugs cannot access the opportunities available," said Ryan Dominguez, Executive Director of Mass CultivatED. "This is why we are excited to partner with EzHire to ensure our trained fellows are hired as the new leaders of the legal cannabis industry. I look forward to working together with EzHire to make cannabis markets across the country even more inclusive and equitable."

In 2018, Massachusetts State Representative Chynah Tyler created MassCultivatED, the nation's first program designed to help former inmates find jobs in the cannabis industry. Through its partnerships, MassCultivatED offers a cooperative education program, free legal services, workforce training, and externships that provide livable wages and benefits.

Founded in 2019 by former HubSpot employee Jacob Carlson. EzHire Cannabis is billed as "the Indeed for Weed" focusing on connecting candidates with opportunities in the cannabis industry. The proprietary software platform allows candidates to create comprehensive video profiles & search for jobs. With customers spanning every legal cannabis market, EzHire Cannabis' mission is to enable candidates to become more than a resume.
