Bluegreen Vacations Takes Top Honors as RCI Celebrates Earth Month With its Tenth Annual Green Awards Program

Bluegreen Vacations announced today that its Laurel Crest Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee received the Platinum Award, which is the highest honor in the RCI^® Green Awards program. The RCI Green Awards, in honor of Earth Month, is given to three affiliated vacation resorts that actively engage in environmentally sustainable practices across their operations.

"Bluegreen's Laurel Crest Resort demonstrated ingenuity and best practices in environmental responsibility, including using a rain-catching device to prevent stormwater runoff and assist with outdoor irrigation, solar powered lights to illuminate sidewalks, electric vehicle charging, and reserved parking spots for green vehicles," said Richard Ruff, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of RCI North America.
