Capilea Tijuana has opened a new hair restoration center in Tijuana with affordable treatments and procedures for Californians suffering from hair loss.

Capilea Tijuana brings state-of-the-art hair transplant technology to the south of San Diego, California with their new hair restoration center.

According to the team at Capilea Tijuana, the facilities located in NewCity Medical Plaza were designed with the privacy and comfort of the patient in mind. This medical center has avant-garde procedure rooms with direct internet access and cable tv for patients to enjoy while getting their hair grafted.

“We know that hair is an essential part of our appearance and, at the same time, of the self-confidence that we face life with,” said Dr. Armando Pérez Carreño, Capilea Tijuana’s Medical Director. “That is why we are convinced that, by restoring a person’s hair, we help them regain their confidence, self-esteem, and even happiness,” added Executive Director Juan Camilo Ramirez.

Why is Capilea Tijuana opening a new hair restoration center in Mexico?

The team behind Capilea Tijuana has stated that they think Mexico has everything to become a medical tourism leader. “(Mexico) offers great quality aesthetic procedures at affordable prices. I think more Americans should be driving to Mexico instead of flying somewhere else to get their hair grafted,” said Dr. Pérez.

When asked why people in California should drive to Mexico instead of flying somewhere else to get a hair graft, Camilo says, “It’s simple: hair transplant can be quite pricey in America. We know that most insurance plans don’t cover it. The cost of a 5,000 FUE graft could cost anything from $1,500 to $50,000. This is one of the reasons people suffering from hair loss tend to leave (the country), usually aiming for Turkey. The thing is, taking into consideration travel expenses, getting a hair graft in Turkey could cost around $8,000, which is still expensive.”

Juan Camilo then added, “A hair transplant in Mexico can cost as little as $1,500 and as much as $5,000 USD. Someone living in San Diego or Los Angeles could drive to Tijuana, get their hair grafted and be back home for dinner that same day. Even better, our all-included pack can pick them up in San Diego and drive them to Tijuana. It could be a great vacation day in Mexico too, as NewCity Medical Plaza (where Capilea Tijuana is) has a 5 star hotel and a great food court.”
