Art Pop artist Valerie Geffner performs two upcoming shows in NYC

Critically acclaimed singer, recording artist and performer Valerie Geffner has announced two performance dates in New York City this month after a recent sold out album launch concert for her album “Be I Am” at Gold Sounds, Brooklyn NY. 

Her first show is right around the corner at legendary New York City Club The Bowery Electric, on December 8th, 8:00 PM. The second is at the basement culture hub Berlin Under A, on December 30th at 9:00 PM. Also on the bill for the latter show is noted New York act Theophobia, composer, producer and designer Lizzantino, and Songs for the Apocalypse.

Geffner is a New York-based multi-faceted artist; a graduate of the Drama Division at Juilliard. She wrote and produced the album antenna, and recently during the pandemic released two albums; Magic is Free and BE I AM. Her songs are powerful, uplifting, and electric. She can deliver the classics as effectively as contemporary pop.  Her music is a theatrical & dynamic mix of the avant-garde and electronic.  Valerie has been declared “a commanding presence,” by the LA Times. She has also appeared with world-renowned Pakistani Musician, Salman Ahmad, on the David Lynch transcendental meditation compilation, Download For Good: Music That Changed The World Volume 1′ (also featuring Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Amanda Palmer and many more).

Her album BE I AM has been described as a hypnotic & intoxicating mix of chants, singing and rhythmic spoken word that weaves the connection of the spiritual to the very vulnerable human. States Geffner, “it´s a journey and an exploration of being human in this transforming time that we’re living in, a rhythmic, spiritual and dynamic set of tunes.”
