50 new, affordable, energy-efficient homes will soon be available for purchase in Fernley, NV in a joint partnership between Krch Realty Agent Mary Gurczynski and Altmann Builders.

FERNLEY, NV – Krch Realty Agent Mary Gurczynski and Reno-based Altmann Builders are announcing their new affordable housing development in Fernley which will feature 50 energy-efficient homes ranging in cost from $330,000 to $370,000. Gurczynski hopes this new development will help relieve some of the challenges buyers in the area face as hundreds of people flock to the area for work.

Fernley, NV has seen a 46% increase in the median sold prices of homes since 2018 according to realtor.com. Fernley and northern Nevada are experiencing exponential increases in housing prices due to large companies such as Tesla and Switch opening factories in the area, as well as people moving to the area for more affordable housing options during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The most important thing about this development is that it’s affordable. It is extremely difficult to come across affordable, brand new housing in today’s market,” said Gurczynski. “People have been drawn to this area for employment opportunities and this mass migration has had a negative effect on home buyers that we’re hoping to alleviate.”
