8 Maxmillions prizes were won yesterday

MONTREAL, June 5, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - In yesterday's Lotto Max draw, 8 Maxmillions ($1 million prize(s)) were won with selections sold by in Ontario, British-Columbia, Atlantic Provinces and The Prairies. As such, the total in the Tuesday, June 8 draw will be $117 million, i.e. a $70 million jackpot and 47 prizes of $1 million. This is the biggest jackpot ever offered in the history of Loto-Québec and all of Canada!

The previous record set for a Lotto Max jackpot was in October 2018, when it totalled $116 million, and consisted of a $60,000,000 jackpot and 56 Maxmillions prizes.

"This is the 7th time the Lotto Max jackpot has hit its cap of $70,000,000 since the lottery game's revamp in May 2019. Actually, Quebecers have been lucky with this lottery game, as two of the six $70,000,000 jackpots won in 2020 were won in Québec," says Isabelle Jean, President of Operations - Lotteries. These two jackpots (out of six) represent 33% of all the jackpots won, while the Lotto Max market share is approximately 19% in Québec.
