PLACENTIA, Calif., June 1, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Robert Johansen and Todd Gaffaney teach readers how to identify and embrace their deepest most vulnerable needs and feelings, and then expose them respectfully to their partner with strategies in "Need Management Therapy (NMT): A New Science of Love, Intimacy, and Relationships" (published by Archway Publishing).

Aimed at lay people and professional therapists, NMT is comprised of two parts. The first part details the theoretical and research foundations of Johansen and Gaffaney's work and the second part discusses the three pillars of need management therapy. In addition, they share a case study that illustrates how to apply their ideas.

The authors are both previously divorced as well as successful partners in 40-year marriages. In addition, they have the combined professional experiences of almost a century in practicing and teaching the NMT model for couples and students. They want the reader to know that relationship improvement is possible and NMT offers a self-help guide to achieve this challenge.
