DuPont Introduces Standardized Naming System to Aid in Nomex® Specification

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 25, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As a recognized global leader in flame-resistant (FR) and arc flash protective technologies, DuPont Personal Protection is pleased to announce a new, globally consistent naming convention for Nomex® to help safety managers identify the best solution for their needs, regardless of region.

"Harmonizing our Nomex® naming system was in direct response to insights gathered from our end users. Safety managers wanted to specify consistent Nomex® solutions no matter where they were in the world – and now, it's possible," said David Domnisch, global business director, DuPont Personal Protection.

The new naming system will enable safety managers in a wide range of industries, including oil & gas; utilities & mining; manufacturing & transportation; and emergency response, to specify the most appropriate Nomex® solution needed for on-the-job protection.

Although many of the product names are changing, the performance, protection and durability properties of these Nomex® solutions will remain the same.
