Assessment Validates BCS's Critical Facilities Management Capabilities

BCS, one of the nation's fastest growing data center operations providers, announces success in achieving Uptime Institute's M&O Stamp of Approval, the globally recognized standard for data center management and operations excellence. The M&O Stamp of Approval was attained with a perfect 100% assessment at Landmark Phoenix I, a multi-building data center campus operated by BCS Data Center Operations using the BCS critical facilities operating program. BCS began operating the Landmark Dividend LLC-owned data center campus earlier this year.

"Achieving Uptime Institute's M&O Stamp of Approval demonstrates that BCS's mission-critical operating practices and procedures meet the highest standard of operational excellence," said BCS CEO Danny Crocker. "Our team's ability to apply industry best practices to mitigate risks and drive down total cost of data center ownership — without sacrificing quality and reliability — exemplifies our commitment to our customers and partners."

Uptime Institute is the global authority for setting and assessing data center and other critical infrastructure performance, efficiency and resiliency standards. The M&O Stamp of Approval assessment is used to validate critical facilities management and program operations. Stand-alone, independent audits measure five critical components of data center operations: 1) staffing and organizations, 2) maintenance, 3) training, 4) planning, coordination and management, and 5) operating conditions.

Additionally, in October BCS announced receiving a successful Service Operation Control (SOC) 2 Type II report and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) assessment for the Landmark Phoenix I data center campus.

"BCS has adopted and embraced a unifying operating framework that places stewardship of client assets as our primary mission," said BCS Vice President of Corporate Technical Services John Hevey. "Today's data center owner needs to challenge a facility infrastructure and rethink their business models while continually improving quality and working with BCS to operate and protect the client's critical load," he added.

The 2020 Uptime Institute Global Data Center Survey reports the high likelihood, frequency and increased damage caused by data center outages. Next-generation data center operators have developed programs designed to infuse continuous, proactive improvement rigor, and move beyond a traditional preventive mindset.

BCS currently employs data center operations engineers, IT service operations technicians, security officers and service-delivery subject matter experts across North America.
