Poet Reveals The Faces of Instagram

Who are you when there's no one to impress? In his latest book of poetry, Mike Pierre-Paul delves into the dangers of keeping up appearances online and offers powerful motivations for building real character offline.

“Faces of Instagram: What Filter Are You?” is a collection of over three dozen poems that cover a wide range of topics relevant to these challenging times. Where the book really hits home is when Pierre-Paul's verses vividly capture how social media attention can drive good people to inflate their egos, chase after money, and flaunt a false sense of status.

In one of the several 'Caption of the Day' sections in his book, Pierre-Paul writes: “Social media has created jealous behavior over illusions. Sadly, some people are envious of things, relationships and lifestyles that don't even exist.” The poet urges his readers to not get lost in a fake digital world and encourages them to be uncompromising on their character, morals, and integrity.

“Faces of Instagram: What Filter Are You?” is Pierre-Paul's second book. It's now available on mikepierrepaul.com. His first book, “Chambers of My Heart: Poetical Scriptures Vol.1,” recently became a Best Seller on Walmart.com.
