The audit, which was completed by The Mako Group, revealed no exceptions—which means that all of Lessonly's information security practices, policies, and operational procedures meet or exceed security standards.

Developed by the American Institute of CPAs, SOC 2 specifies criteria for managing customer data securely. Lessonly received its Type 1 report in November of 2019 and quickly started working towards its Type 2 assessment.
