ST. LOUIS, Oct. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Scout Guide Saint Louis, a city-guide publication featuring St. Louis entrepreneurs, business owners, artists, and artisans, will launch its third volume this October, marking the third year of publishing for the St. Louis branch of The Scout Guide under editor and owner, Stacey Goltermann. Dedicated to shining a light on small and independent businesses in more than 60 cities across the country, The Scout Guide provides expert advice on "living beautifully" for both locals and visitors. In addition, the publication offers an opportunity for featured members to connect with potential customers and partners through placement in online and local directories and provides targeted marketing campaigns designed and executed by The Scout Guide's editors. The publishing of Volume 3 amid the pandemic is a strategic step in The Scout Guide Saint Louis' plan to revitalize the St. Louis economy and recharge the small business community. In addition, this year The Scout Guide launched a new digital lifestyle guide which increases opportunities for businesses to share important information about their brands and showcase their offerings to a wider national audience.

"Now more than ever, we need to focus on helping our local economies and highlighting a rich and diverse set of business owners who are committed to making an impact in this community," said Goltermann. "The Guide offers a centralized platform that breathes life into the stories of entrepreneurs, artists, and artisans of great cities like St. Louis, showcasing the area's vibrancy and creativity. This year, my passion for helping businesses survive and thrive has been amplified and I will continue to do everything in my power to create opportunities for those that make St. Louis a great place to live, work, and play."

Stacey Goltermann first discovered The Scout Guide in Charlottesville, Virginia, where the publication was founded and created by Susie Matheson and Christy Ford. Goltermann recognized there was an opportunity to help others realize all that St. Louis has to offer in a way that also supports the success and longevity of small businesses. Just as Matheson and Ford had been in Charlottesville, Goltermann was confident in the guide's potential to not only inspire, but also to influence and create direct connections and networking opportunities for Scout Guide members. The Scout Guide is now run by Goltermann, Creative Director, Amy Jo Mitchell, Lead Photographer, Joan Fisher, and Mel Boban with SMAL Marketing who serves as the publication's social media manager. Together, the team produces fresh content that aligns with the unique missions and visions behind the businesses they serve.

Goltermann has always enjoyed a lifelong love for local—her passion for supporting small businesses stems from her former career as a buyer in the fashion industry and retail world. She was eager to bring The Scout Guide to Saint Louis to support the local people, families, and businesses that work to help clients and customers live their best life.

"Live, love, local" are the words used to describe the heart and soul behind The Scout Guide," said Goltermann. "In a world that is increasingly becoming focused on buying from huge corporations that offer the highest level of convenience, it's important to learn about and support small business owners. By doing this, we are supporting local communities and helping small businesses recover from the economic tragedies delivered by COVID-19."

In the last three years, The Scout Guide Saint Louis has evolved, adding an online hub to supplement its coveted print publication. Enhancing their effort to support local businesses in a time of great need, The Scout Guide's online platform increases opportunities for businesses to share their stories and has received a great deal of traffic upon launch. Published annually and distributed throughout the city—and throughout the year—TSG print and online platforms serve as resources for locals and travelers alike.

The Scout Guide Saint Louis adds new businesses to its roster every year with select brands that are committed to making a positive impact in the community. Goltermann is dedicated to meeting the needs of her members by publishing details on events, services, and products from the scouted network on the guide's social media platforms.

The future for The Scout Guide Saint Louis is bright, even during a time that seems uncertain and troubling for small businesses. To secure a spot in next year's Scout Guide (Volume 4), please contact sgoltermann@thescoutguide.com.
