National Online Registries, LLC (NOR) enhanced its Motor Carrier Information Exchange (MCInfo) system to offer Form SR-23, Uniform Financial Responsibility Notice for Fleets, for filing to the Iowa Department of Transportation. MCInfo users can now complete and submit three high-risk auto insurance forms to Iowa, as well as two common intrastate insurance forms:

  • Form SR-22, Uniform Financial Responsibility Certificate of Insurance
  • Form SR-23, Uniform Financial Responsibility Notice for Fleets
  • Form SR-26, Uniform Financial Responsibility Notice of Cancellation or Termination
  • Form E, Uniform Motor Carrier Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability Certification of Insurance
  • Form K, Uniform Notice of Cancellation of Motor Carrier Insurance Policies

With these five form offerings, MCInfo is fully prepared to meet Iowa's new electronic filing requirements going into effect in 2021.

"NOR is always increasing MCInfo's value by adding to our form offerings and responding to the latest agency requirements," said Laura Johnson, NOR General Manager. "Adding SR-23 accomplishes both of these goals by expanding our high-risk insurance filing services and helping our users get ahead of the curve by filing online several months before Iowa's deadline."

Including Iowa, MCInfo users can file online to a total of 22 participating states. Form SR-23 is the 16th form contained in MCInfo's catalog of common and state-specific filing options. Using NOR's rapid process, adding new state agencies or forms only requires a few short weeks.

MCInfo speeds up the submission process and employs form validation for increased data quality. Automatic data population helps save time and prevent data entry errors when submitting multiple forms at once.

For participating states, MCInfo provides a centralized system to receive and review insurance filings, automatically communicate with insurance companies and track trends and progress via the reporting feature. In addition, MCInfo offers a web service for back office automation.
