Denver South Economic Development Partnership (EDP) and Rockies Venture Club (RVC), announced a new partnership, working together to launch a chapter of the state wide angel investor network in the Denver South region.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (PRWEB) March 03, 2020

RVC was recently awarded $470,000 by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) to establish new angel investing communities throughout the state, using well-established principles and practices of angel group formation and management to educate and mobilize new angel investors. Denver South EDP has been supporting entrepreneurial support organizations throughout the region, including a local office of the state wide science and technology incubator, Innosphere, and has recently been expanding its startup and growth-stage company support work.

"Denver South has a strong entrepreneurial history and community and we have incredible resources throughout the region that support startup, early-stage and growth-stage companies," said Eric Byington, Director of Innovation at Denver South EDP. "An established and vibrant financial capital community is a cornerstone to all successful startup ecosystems, and we're excited to have Rockies Venture Club, with their proven track record and incredible network, establish a strong presence in the region."

Rockies Venture Club and Denver South EDP will work together to support early-stage companies and entrepreneurs looking to establish and grow their businesses in the region. Rockies Venture Club will recruit local and regional investors to serve as members of the Denver South chapter and syndicate deal flow through their statewide network. The work will serve as an important tool to the local economy, leveraging local and regional private capital to invest in local companies, while aided by state and federal tax benefits, to accelerate job growth through fast growing companies.
