We created the H&A Control Account Manager (CAM) Certification program over 5 years ago and approximately 600 people have gone through this rigorous certification process. If you are not sure that a candidate has the requisite knowledge prior to the Certification tests, then prior to their engaging in the test, you can make available to those future candidates the CAM Certification Training or the individual VLLs. You can also do the same as a refresher for candidates for the Project Control/ Analyst Certification test.

1. CAM Certification - Having a CAM certification means that an individual has demonstrated a knowledge level that establishes a sound foundation for success as a CAM and, eventually as a Project Manager. This certification is intended for those who understand the basic Earned Value concepts and are serving as, or in line to become, Control Account Managers for a project.

2. Project Control/Analyst (PC/A). There is a severe shortage of this skill available, and this certification will again ensure a knowledge level necessary to accomplish the important PC/A role. This certification is not intended for people new to Earned Value; it is for those who have been CAMs or provided support to CAMs and Project Manages who have demonstrated skills.
