Emery earned her real estate license in 2006, specializes in high-end properties on Johns and Seabrook Islands, and has been one of Seabrook Island's top sales agents for the past several years. She serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the Acquisitions Committee for the Seabrook Island Green Space Conservancy.
