The 2020 Honda Passport has arrived at the Meridian Honda showroom with everything that made it a strong newcomer to a competitive class.

MERIDIAN, Miss. (PRWEB) December 13, 2019

When the inaugural model of the Honda Passport arrived at the Meridian Honda showroom early in 2019, the staff knew right away the powerful and capable platform was going to attract customer interest. The arrival of the 2020 Honda Passport has not signaled the automaker is metaphorically taking their foot off the gas. Buyers will be able to find the 2020 Passport in four primary trim grades, Sport, EX-L, Touring and Elite. Each of them employs the same V-6-based powertrain, available all-wheel-drive and plenty of space for passengers and cargo. In fact, the interior dimensions of the 2020 Honda Passport will put it in direct competition with several well-regarded models.

Just like the original model, the 2020 Honda Passport has two rows of seats that will easily hold five passengers. Cargo-hauling capability is an area where the 2020 Passport is able to outclass many of its rivals. When the rear seat of the Passport is being occupied by customers, there is still more than 40 cubic-feet of cargo volume to use.

A top competitor of the Honda crossover SUV will top out at less than that mark. Properly stowing the rear seats of the Passport will open up more than 77 cubic-feet of cargo volume, with a few differences across the Honda vehicle's trim ladder. All versions of the previously referenced Honda rival can only make a maximum of 70 cubic-feet available to its owners.

Every 2020 Honda Passport will have a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine under the hood that is attached to a nine-speed automatic transmission. It will make 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This is about 100-horsepower more than what the lone powertrain available with the vehicle's rival can produce. Vehicle shoppers will also see this disparity reflected in both vehicles' towing capacities, with the 2020 Passport being able to pull up to 3,500 pounds with front-wheel-drive and as much as 5,000 when it is equipped with all-wheel-drive.

Anyone can view the entire Meridian Honda inventory today when they visit the dealership's website, http://www.meridianhonda.com. The showroom is located at 503 Front Street Ext. Meridian, MS 39301. Customers can schedule a test drive with the 2020 Honda Passport by calling 601-693-4651.
