Dr. E. Dorinda Shelley is no stranger to crafting creative and interesting children's stories filled with valuable lessons. This time, she directs the spotlight towards everyone's favorite Christmas characters, including Santa, Rudolph, and all their friends at the North Pole.  They work to celebrate the holiday and bring cheer and wonderment to delight the little ones.

"Santa's Sleigh-Train" reminds us that the willingness to help will truly go a long way, especially if it's for the good of everybody. The exciting adventure unfolds while Santa and the rest of the gang are busy preparing and packing the Christmas gifts for kids all over the world. While everyone keeps busy, Rudolph finds out he is sick with reindeer pox and can't lead the sleigh.

Santa and his friends must find an alternative delivery solution or else the gifts may not make it in time! Thankfully, they found a beautiful toy train and some magic fairy dust that could work. As they continue making sure that Santa's Christmas mission becomes a success, each helper lends a hand.

This wonderful display of selflessness and kindness is truly a reminder that great things are possible as long as there are people willing to help. During the 2019 National Council of Teachers of English on November 21-23, 2019 in Baltimore, MD, Shelley's Santa's Sleigh Train will join one of the largest education conventions in the country. With delegates coming from all US states and territories, it's definitely going to be an exciting exhibit for educators in America.
