BET HER is thrilled to announce the 2nd annual BET HER AWARDS scheduled to take place Friday, June 21, 2019 at LA film and photography atelier, Milk Studios. Hosted by television personality, author, producer, philanthropist and girls' empowerment activist, Shaun Robinson, the awards ceremony celebrates the advancement and accomplishments of women of color across a spectrum of industries. "I am honored to be hosting the BET Her Awards and saluting such an exemplary group of women. It will be an empowering evening with these ladies who are true change makers," Robinson said of her hosting gig.

This year's honorees include actress Storm Reid, who will receive the Rising Star Award. Executive Vice President and COO of Beauty & Personal Care, Unilever North America, Esi Eggleston Bracey, will receive the Business Maverick Award. Mane Choice CEO and natural hair aficionado Courtney Adeleye is collecting the InfluencHER Award and Erin Teague is this year's Tech Maven Award recipient. Musical guests taking the stage will Roc Nation singer/songwriter Victory and DJ Ms. Nix.

Last year's inaugural ceremony honored business mogul and television personality Lala Anthony (Evolution Award); former Chief Brand Officer for Uber, Bozoma Saint John (Business Maverick Award); Women's March National co-chair, Tamika D. Mallory (Social Justice Award) and Morgan DeBaun, founder and CEO of media lifestyle brand, Blavity (Tech Innovation Award).
