Spartan Emergency Response Receives Multi-Truck Order From Wayne Township Fire Department at FDIC

CHARLOTTE, Mich., April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Spartan Emergency Response ("Spartan" or "Spartan ER"), a business unit of Spartan Motors, Inc. SPAR ("Spartan" or the "Company"), has expanded its partnership with Wayne Township Fire Department in Marion County, Indiana, with an order for three Spartan Star Series Top-Mount Pumpers and for its new Ladder Tower 93' Mid-Mount Platform, which launched at the recent Fire Department Instructors' Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium.

Wayne Township Fire Department, which serves 36 square miles of the Indianapolis metropolitan area, currently operates a Smeal Sirius 75' Aerial that has been in service since 2016.  Additionally, the department currently has two Smeal Sirius Top-Mount Pumpers on order, both of which will be in service by the third quarter of this year.  The Wayne Township Fire Department has five fire stations and employs approximately 180 first responders and is expanding its partnership with Spartan to help standardize its frontline fleet of fire apparatus, with the overriding benefit of providing safe and reliable equipment for its firefighters, as they serve the citizens and property owners of Wayne Township.
