PALO ALTO, Calif., April 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Adaptive Insights, a Workday WDAY company, honors its nearly 750 nonprofit customers during National Volunteer Month. National Volunteer Month was established in 1981 and is an opportunity to recognize and thank volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice, and support to causes they care about in their community, as well as inspire volunteerism.

Organizations like Room to Read have benefited from volunteer resources that support their mission and cause. Room to Read was founded in 2000 on the basis that World Change Starts with Educated Children®. The organization focuses on deep, systemic transformation within schools in low-income communities during two time periods that are most critical in a child's schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls' education. Since 2000, the organization has impacted 16.8 million children across 37,000 low-income communities around the world. Room to Read's volunteer network consists of over 45 volunteer chapters globally that support Room to Read through awareness raising and fundraising activities.
