LAS VEGAS, March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Economic Club of Las Vegas, known for providing a forum for economic discussion and debate, has announced it will host three leading Economists, including world renowned sports economist Dr. Stefan Szymanski from the University of Michigan at the "How will Las Vegas Change in the 2020's" event Friday, March 22 at Bali Hai, 5160 South Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89119.

The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $50 per person and includes lunch. For more information and to register, visit www.econclublv.org/events.

Szymanski, an expert in global sports management and economics generally, will discuss the economic impacts from Sports Teams. The other two panelists have expertise on Southern Nevada, specifically real estate and gaming:

  • John Knott is an Executive Vice President and Global Head of Gaming for CBRE. Mr. Knott brings 29 years of real estate experience to CBRE including 14 years with CBRE Las Vegas, 10 years with Cushman & Wakefield in West Los Angeles and 5 years with Sullivan & Knott, Inc., a Las Vegas based company he founded in 1994.
  • David G. Schwartz, Ph.D., is the Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at UNLV. As a senior administrator in the Office of Faculty Affairs, he provides leadership for programs, services, and resources to promote faculty success. Prior to serving as Associate Vice Provost, Schwartz was Director of the Center for Gaming Research within University Libraries.
