NAPLES, Fla., March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ --"I first came here in my youth when people referred to the area as 'Heaven's Gates,'" Brown, who has lived in Naples since 1979. "Back then it had an aging population. My how things have changed."

Now, Collier County has a thriving economy, as well as year-round warm weather, a rich culture and low crime rate. Furthermore, the younger population has realized it's a great place to raise a family, in no small part due to the fact that the Collier County School District serves 48,000 total students in 29 elementary schools, 10 middle schools and 8 high schools. "We also have the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program for high school students," noted Brown.

The Bright Futures Scholarship Program provides scholarships based on high school academic achievement. If one's child achieves good grades and completes the requirements of this program, they can choose to go to any state college in Florida and be rewarded with a scholarship based on their performance. "I myself am proud to say that I have children that have enjoyed this privilege," added Brown.

As for visiting the Paradise Coast, its 30 miles of soft white sand beaches says it all. "We have experienced a record red tide this year, but this should not deter people from visiting this paradise," noted Brown. "As of this month, beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel don't show red tide conditions along our shorelines. There are also no beach advisories at this time."

Red tide is a common name for algal blooms, which are large concentrations of aquatic microorganisms. The upwelling of nutrients from the sea floor, often following massive storms, provides for the algae and triggers bloom events. Florida has a new governor and the attitude may be changing for harmful algal blooms like red tide, but the issues are being addressed and remedies are being implemented to correct and control red tide.

The county also boasts 55 locally owned, one-of-a-kind restaurants referred to as "Naples Originals." It is also home to a number of signature events such as the Stone Crab Festival in Everglades City, Swamp Buggy Races in Naples, the Football University National Championships, watercross, Pickleball Championships and more.

Furthermore, there are no shortages of world-class resorts and meeting facilities, including two Ritz Carlton resorts, JW Marriott, Naples Grande and The Inn on 5th. "Naples is like a fantasyland, and everyone comes and enjoys the good life and contributes to the wealth of the area by frequenting our many restaurants, shopping venues, beaches, arts and entertainment venues, museums and historic stops," stated Brown, who has been selling real estate here for over 20 years. "There is also all manner of watersports and fishing here, as well as more than 90 golf courses in Collier County."
