Grossnickle Eye Center raises $1,900 to sponsor puppy within the Leader Dogs for the Blind program.

WARSAW, Ind. (PRWEB) January 17, 2019

Last Christmas, the physicians and staff at Grossnickle Eye Center raised a total of $1,900 to sponsor a puppy training within the Leader Dogs for the Blind program.

"The program is 100% philanthropically funded," says Grossnickle Eye Center surgeon Dr. Matthew Ralstin. "As eye care specialists, we were excited to support a group dedicated to helping those with impaired vision maintain their independence and mobility."

Leader Dogs for the Blind is designed to provide the tools and training to reintroduce people to a life of independence, confidence, and companionship. Their services are provided free of charge to clients and include everything from white cane training to Leader Dog training.

"They're doing something important," says Dr. Ralstin. "And we're happy to be a part of it."
