Contaminated Stem Cell Lawsuit Filed Against Genetech​, Others

(Houston) Law firm Hampton & King have filed a petition against San Diego stem cell manufacturer Genetech, Nevada distributor Liveyon, clinic Texas Regional Health & Wellness, and two doctors, Sammy Tao DC and Omar Vidal MD. The suit alleges that the neglect of all defendants in the creation, distribution, and injection of contaminated stem cells have irreparably damaged their clients' health.

(Houston) Law firm Hampton & King have filed a petition against San Diego stem cell manufacturer Genetech, Nevada distributor Liveyon, clinic Texas Regional Health & Wellness, and two doctors, Sammy Tao DC and Omar Vidal MD. The suit alleges that the neglect of all defendants in the creation, distribution, and injection of contaminated stem cells have irreparably damaged their clients' health.

According to the complaint, on September 12, 2018, at Texas Regional Health & Wellness in Harris County, Texas, Tao and Vidal injected each plaintiff with a substance said to contain stem cells. They allege the substance contained no living cells and had none of the beneficial medical properties that defendants claimed. Additionally, they allege the injections were contaminated with Enterobacter, a bacteria that lives in the intestinal tracts of humans and animals and can be deadly.

The firm is seeking unspecified damages for the physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses, custodial care, and other damages resulting from the impairment alleged to be caused by the injections, both now and in the future.
