SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) December 20, 2018

Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi's College of Education has selected Portfolium's Student Success Network to provide Teacher Preparation program students with a way to store evidence of field-based assessment and provide guided pathways from admission and into a career.

"Portfolium provides the robust and adaptable system we need across all three areas of student engagement, meaningful learning outcomes assessment, and state and national accreditation reporting," said David Scott, Dean at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.

The College of Ed will begin rolling out Portfolium's digital badging and learning pathways technology, a platform that provides students with the ability to earn micro-credentials and digital badges and automatically have them displayed in their ePortfolios. Digital badge issuance will be triggered directly by Portfolium's assessment software, ensuring that student badges will include full transparency into specific learning outcomes, rubrics and evidence of student work. The badges will also be issued in connection with the achievement of certain milestones along guided pathways, making it easy to construct visual paths representing varying degrees of depth, breadth, and rigor.

Due to Portfolium's all-in-one, "full stack" software, built-in live support, and intuitive user experience, the College of Education will be able to launch the Student Success platform with minimal student and faculty training. Along with the College of Education's Teacher Preparation program, the college also plans to utilize Portfolium to improve assessment, teaching, and learning throughout all College of Ed programs, both undergraduate and graduate.

"At Portfolium, we're always thrilled at the opportunity to provide our Student Success solutions to any institution, but partnering with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's College of Education to ensure the success of our country's future teachers is an especially proud milestone for us as a company," said Troy Markowitz, Vice President of Academic Partnerships at Portfolium.
