Innovative live unloading tracking and reporting provides greater visibility and delivers the most transparent warehouse service possible to clients from coast to coast.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (PRWEB) December 06, 2018

Merit Logistics, a national third-party services provider, has been awarded a new multi-year contract to provide logistics support at the Dollar General distribution centers in San Antonio and Longview, Texas. Merit started managing the freight handling services in San Antonio on July 22, 2018. They commenced at the Longview facility on November 25, 2018.

One of the biggest differentiators that led to Merit earning the new account was its ground-breaking application MeriTrack Live which provides live unloading tracking that offers clients greater visibility and transparency throughout the entire unloading process. The new application offers unparalleled visibility for clients by enabling them to track the unloading of every incoming shipment from the time it hits their docks all the way through breakdown and final completion. The end result is a more effective, more efficient and more transparent level of service.

As an independently owned and operated company, Merit has demonstrated the operational excellence, flexibility and responsiveness that today's leading retailers require in order to achieve peak performance in their distribution and supply chain. The company prides itself on its culture of continual improvement which translates into better-trained associates, higher productivity and ultimately, greater profitability for its clients.

"Top supply chain executives continually assess their distribution efficiencies, and at Merit, we couldn't agree more," says CEO Cesar Scolari. "In fact, we've built our reputation by constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar on service excellence and MeriTrack Live is a reflection of this commitment. We're very excited to be able to bring this innovative technology to Dollar General's supply chain."

To ensure a seamless transition, Merit brought in professional implementation teams at both locations to hire and train nearly 50 employees. Merit will also employ the company's industry-leading incentive plans as well as the most comprehensive, company-paid benefits in the business. These powerful programs give Merit a competitive advantage that allows the company to attract and retain extremely motivated and driven professionals.

According to Senior Vice President Jason Giuliany, "it's Merit's exceptional associates who lie at the heart of the company's continued growth and success. "We never lose sight of the fact that our greatest resource is the high-caliber associates we hire," says Giuliany. "We truly value our people and that commitment not only impacts their lives, but it translates into excellent results for our clients as well."
