Executives from ACI Worldwide ACIW, a leading global provider of real-time electronic payment and banking solutions, received top honors at the second annual European Women in Payments Network (EWPN) Awards. The awards, presented in Amsterdam as part of the two-day EWPN payments and fintech conference, recognize the achievements of women who exemplify and promote female leadership, diversity and inclusion in the payments industry.

  • Sylvie Boucheron-Saunier, senior vice president – Business Development, was chosen by the judges from list of 8 finalists – including senior executives, CEOs and founders – to receive the coveted ‘Payments Woman of the Year' award. The lifetime achievement award acknowledges Sylvie's proven track record of building and transforming businesses, shaping future leaders, and advocating for diversity and inclusion over more than 20 years in the industry. Eve Aretakis, executive vice president – Product Development, was also a finalist for the evening's premier award.
  • Erika Dietrich, leader - Risk Services, was honored with the ‘Young Innovator' award, recognizing demonstrated industry innovation. Erika leads a global team of risk analysts to develop and deploy cutting-edge fraud management solutions, and has become a sought-after industry expert, public speaker and consultant. Carolyn Homberger, group president – Global Sales, was selected as a finalist in this category, with awards presented to two women under 45.
  • Melissa Mckendry, vice president – Implementation Services, received the ‘Positive Troublemaker' award. Melissa was recognized for her vocal advocacy for equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion in the payments industry, as well as her mentorship of fellow female professionals and success in bringing ACI's ‘Coding for Girls' initiative to the UK. Jessica Letterman, new business developer – eCommerce Payments, was among the six finalists for this award.

"I am truly honored to be recognized by EWPN – the lifetime achievements of the finalists for the ‘Payments Women of the Year Award' are remarkable, and are proof that there are a growing number of women leading from the front and shaping the payments industry," said Sylvie Boucheron-Saunier, senior vice president, Business Development, ACI Worldwide. "The recognition of my colleagues as award winners and finalists is further testament to the fact that ACI is a company that does more than just pay lip service to diversity – it can be felt in all parts of the organization, and I'm thrilled that I can simply be myself, spread positive energy, and play a role in the company's diversity and inclusion efforts."
