Baeumler to announce details in Toronto on September 12 at live event

TORONTO, Sept. 5, 2018 /CNW/ - HeyBryan, an app that connects home service providers to homeowners and anyone else seeking qualified taskers, is announcing a partnership with HGTV's Gemini Award-winning, Bryan Baeumler.

HeyBryan Inc. (CNW Group/HeyBryan Inc.)

Baeumler is the star of HGTV shows such as House of Bryan, Bryan Inc, Leave it to Bryan and others. The series premiere of Bryan Inc. was HGTV Canada's highest-rated premier of the past five years.

"Home repair and related services are areas that haven't seen tremendous innovation the same way that industries like food services have. And this is a huge problem, because unlike having the wrong pizza delivered - the wrong service provider can cause irreparable damage to your home or other possessions," said Baeumler.

The home improvement market in Canada reached $47.9 billion in 2017.

"We decided to create this app because, like many entrepreneurs - we identified a problem that we wanted to solve, both for ourselves and for others. It was always difficult to find the right people who you can trust to take care of things around the house, from small repairs to cleaning and other tasks," said Lance Montgomery, President CEO and Co-Founder, HeyBryan Inc. "We thought it would be great if people could simply ask: HeyBryan - do you know a painter? and that's where the name came from."

HeyBryan enables users to find vetted, qualified home service providers on its easy-to-use app. Available services include general handyman services, furniture assembly, cleaning, electrical, plumbing, painting and appliance repair.

"There are plenty of hardworking, trustworthy and talented individuals who are already doing this kind of work. We are giving them a platform that allows them to showcase their services and expertise in a way that Craigslist and other platforms just don't," added Montgomery.

Homeowners can review and rate home service providers directly through the app, and those who consistently earn high ratings and positive reviews will be HeyBryan Certified, providing peace of mind for homeowners and social proof for taskers.

All taskers are subject to background checks and payment is processed through the app, providing security and efficiency.

The HeyBryan app is set to launch in the fall of 2018 for Android and iPhone.

Join Bryan and the HeyBryan team on September 12 at Don Alfonso Restaurant located in Toronto's financial district at 19 Toronto Street from 1-3pm for the announcement, interview opportunities and photos.
