Disney is the Latest Innovative Employer to Offer Access to Brandman University Through a Partnership with Guild Education

IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) September 25, 2018

Brandman University is once again working with a leading employer to expand access for adult working students to high quality bachelor's degrees. Brandman University, a leading Southern California-based career-oriented education institution, is working with The Walt Disney Company to provide Disney employees access to online undergraduate and master's degree programs, including the university's self-paced Competency-Based Education modality Brandman MyPath.

The Walt Disney Company launched Disney Aspire in August as a comprehensive education program focused on the career development of Disney's employees. Through Disney Aspire, more than 80,000 full-time and part-time hourly employees, who have more than 90 days of service, will be eligible to have 100 percent of their tuition paid up front, as well as have required textbooks and course materials, plus application and program fees covered in full by Disney. Disney employees may apply to one of several undergraduate or master's degree programs offered at Brandman University in the schools of Arts & Sciences, Business & Professional Studies, Education and Nursing & Health Professions.

"The fact that Brandman University is partnering with three major global brand signals not only a change in approach to employee benefits and tuition assistance programs, but a welcome shift to tapping institutions skilled in providing the resources adult students need to succeed," said Gary Brahm, Chancellor and CEO of Brandman University. "Brandman University was founded specifically to meet the needs of adult students, and we look forward to helping Disney employees both in our local community and nationwide realize the achievement of a degree and future success."

Disney Aspire is the latest in a wave of innovative employer education partnerships announced this year. Walmart and Discover Financial Services also announced programs that support employees in earning a degree debt-free at Brandman University. All three employer partnerships are supported through Guild Education, the leading education benefits platform, with Brandman University being the exclusive Competency-Based Education provider.

"At The Walt Disney Company we strive to empower and support employees in their professional and personal lives," said Jayne Parker, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for The Walt Disney Company. "We are constantly looking at ways to help people realize their ambitions and fulfill their dreams, and, as part of that, we are proud to offer Disney Aspire, the most comprehensive program of its kind."
