COBINHOOD First Crypto App To Win Prestigious Red Dot Award For Design

World-renowned Red Dot design competition chooses COBINHOOD, the zero-fee exchange

NEW YORK, Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- COBINHOOD has won the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018, having been selected by the 24-member jury as the first-ever cryptocurrency app to win the award. Over several days, the experts examined, discussed and evaluated more than 8,600 international communication design works, but eventually selected COBINHOOD for its high design quality and creative achievements.

COBINHOOD is looking forward to receiving its well-earned certificate during the award ceremony for the Red Dot Award on October 26, 2018. During the Designers' Night at the E-Werk Berlin, COBINHOOD cryptocurrency exchange will be presented to the international guests attending the event as part of the winners exhibition "Design on Stage," which showcases the state of the art in worldwide communication design exclusively for one night. The prize-winning COBINHOOD app will also be presented in the International Yearbook Communication Design 2018/2019, which will be published on November 15, 2018 and distributed in around 40 countries.

COBINHOOD is the first cryptocurrency business to win the prestigious Red Dot award. The two designers who won the award, Brand Manager Wen Ku, and Senior Designer Ted Deng, accepted the award on COBINHOOD's behalf.

Wen Ku elaborated: "My personal philosophy in design is to challenge the norms, especially in a startup environment, as there is no better place to challenge, fail, and innovate. COBINHOOD has the most user-friendly app in the world, and I'm very proud to be a part of such an amazing team."

"After you invest in crypto and see firsthand the terrible user experience of most other operators, you will naturally try to improve it," said Ted Deng.

COBINHOOD's core value is to have a design perspective that no other market competitors possess. Even though the cryptocurrency market is booming, other apps are not providing a user-friendly interface. Meanwhile, everything on the COBINHOOD app was organically designed and written line-by-line. The goal is to harmonize the brand, user experience, and visual style; every aspect of COBINHOOD's design connects the brand and the users, and builds trust between them.

As for next steps, COBINHOOD looks forward to continuing to plug the many gaps in the cryptocurrency market - in this case through design, by launching blockchain services with style and functionality. There are many exciting announcements ahead, and COBINHOOD continues to make waves for its user-friendly approach.

Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award, had the following to say about the competition and the award: "For more than 60 years now, we have been providing designers, agencies and companies with a platform for evaluating good design. Those who participate in the Red Dot Award must be aware that our jury members demand very high standards of the entries. This becomes apparent in the intensive debates and discussions that take place in order for all of the experts to agree on a well-founded decision. All those who progress through the tough adjudication process to garner a Red Dot have every reason to be proud of themselves, as the jury grants our award only to creations of high design quality. This makes me all the more delighted to congratulate the laureates sincerely on their well-deserved success."

Launched in 2017, COBINHOOD is the world's first zero-fee, high-frequency cryptocurrency trading platform. The company was founded by Popo Chen, the original founder of '17 Media', with the intention of shaping future economies by creating a financial center for the blockchain era. COBINHOOD believes the evolution of blockchain technology and a decentralized financial landscape will transform global capital markets and businesses.

In order to appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award breaks down into three disciplines: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design, and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. The Red Dot Award is one of the world's largest design competitions. In 1955, a jury convened for the first time to assess the best designs of the day. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and brand of the award. Ever since, the sought-after Red Dot distinction has been the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. More information is available at
