Rigaku Oxford Diffraction debuts HyPix-Arc 150° curved hybrid photon counting detector at ECM31

OVIEDO, Spain, Aug. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rigaku Corporation is pleased to announce its attendance at the 31st European Crystallographic Meeting (ECM31). The conference is taking place Wednesday, August 22 through Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Palace of Exhibition and Congresses (PEC) in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain.

ECM31 includes workshops and seminars enabling scientists from across Europe and the world to meet, connect and exchange ideas. Rigaku Oxford Diffraction (ROD) is a MO Sponsor of the event and is presenting its diverse lines of X-ray diffraction (XRD) instrumentation, including the latest single crystal systems at booth 34 and 35.

Single crystal X-ray diffraction systems from Rigaku Oxford Diffraction include the Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S single or dual microfocus X-ray diffractometer. The system is based around the PhotonJet-S series of microfocus X-ray sources that incorporate continuously variable divergence slits. A unique curved hybrid photon counting detector, the HyPix-Arc 150°, will debut at ECM31.

The HyPix-Arc 150° offers significant improvements to data quality and data collection efficiency thanks to its curved geometry and hybrid photon counting technology. By collecting all classes of reflections under the same conditions, the HyPix-Arc 150° is designed to provide the best data quality possible using high performance proven technologies.
