Canada's Once-in-a-Lifetime Cannabis Package Design Competition and Award

TORONTO, Aug. 21, 2018 /CNW/ - JADEO ( launches Canada's first and only packaging design showdown and award for Canadian Licensed Cannabis brands aptly entitled "Show Me Your Package" (SMYP), with a tongue-in-cheek call for entries.

"Entrants will be challenged to balance current regulations with our design criteria which evaluates the degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities and overall functionality of the package design. This is an opportunity for cannabis brands and their design partners to create designs for judging that will never be seen again after Bill C-45 comes into place", says Tara Martin Co-Founder of JADEO.CO, a members-only global community and trusted network for information and education on cannabis for wellness seekers, brands, businesses, and professionals.

Canadian licensed cannabis producers and their partner design agencies are invited to submit packaging images, along with a 60-second video explaining what makes their package so great via the competition microsite for a chance to win the once-in-a-lifetime GOLDEN ZIPPER Award.  The site is open for entries from now until September 21st, 2018.

The winner will be selected by a two-phase voting process. Each entry will be given its own page on JADEO.CO with a direct URL. It will then be part of a curated showcase newsfeed where members can engage in conversations around the individual assets from the brands. The five highest rated package designs will then be selected for final judging by an expert panel including Canada's top marketing industry players Tony Chapman (Tony Chapman Reactions), Josh Kolm (Strategy Magazine), Tara Martin (JADEO) and Mitch Joel (Six Pixels Group). JADEO.CO will announce the winner on October 16th, 2018, at 10:00AM and on October 17th JADEO will showcase the winning brand throughout the site, though all the entry design assets will be removed as they are no longer legal under Bill C-45.

Entries for the Show Me Your Package (SMYP) competition must follow the current Food and Drugs Act (FDA) and the Narcotic Control Regulations (NCR), see link to entry Rules and FAQs.
