RAINSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Thanks to growing support within the rural telecom industry, WordSouth's Regional Telco Magazine topped 275,000 in circulation.

The milestone places the circulation of the Regional Telco Magazine ahead of publications such as Texas Monthly, Cigar Aficionado, The National Enquirer, Fine Cooking, Hemmings Motor News and Psychology Today, according to the Alliance for Audited Media. The circulation is just a few thousand copies short of such well-known titles as Autoweek, Backpacker, Barrons, Harvard Business Review, The Saturday Evening Post and Playboy.

The Regional Telco Magazine is a collaborative publishing effort distributed by 19 companies in seven states. Through the project, telcos educate members about their services, inform customers about news in the telecommunications industry, and continue their mission of engaging their communities.

WordSouth has produced custom publications for telcos and electric providers for more than 20 years. The Regional Telco Magazine launched in 2013 with 10 magazines and a circulation of about 100,000.

"We're excited to work with telcos who recognize the importance of communications, and each issue we look forward to helping them tell their story," says WordSouth President and CEO Stephen V. Smith. "There are great things happening in rural America — much of which is supported by the power of broadband — and it's rewarding for both WordSouth and our clients to have such a significant audience with which to share those stories."
