HONG KONG, Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, Upmood launches its first campaign on Kickstarter with a funding goal of $45,000 to bring the product to life. Upmood is a wearable that collects biodata and provides users with information about their daily emotions, which they can share with friends and family via the accompanying mobile app.

"We recently presented Upmood at RISE, the largest technology conference in Asia, and we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and support," said Creator Charles Lo. "Not only can Upmood acknowledge how you're feeling to you, your friends and your family, but it can also communicate how you feel in certain situations. For example, if you're watching a thriller movie, Upmood can show how you feel during different parts of the movie: anxious, calm, etc. Upmood is about reconnecting people, dismissing the idea of emotional barriers and encouraging people to open up and resist the societal mask that embodies humanity."

Paired with the mobile app, Upmood combines the science of quality emotional monitoring with an all-new social networking experience. Upmood works when worn on the wrist, like a watch, and it uses an algorithm that turns biometric data into analytics through Bluetooth connection with the app to show users their stress level, heart rate, vitality levels and emotion. The accompanying app sends users a detailed summary of their emotions and tracks their emotional progress and trends over time to give insight on what makes them their best self. It also allows users to view their friends' and family members' emotions and share emoji stickers through the Upmood app to spark conversation about emotions.

Upmood also uses a mood stream, mood calendar and mood feed. The mood stream is always live and can detect an emotion within two minutes. The mood feed shows other connections' live emotions, and the mood calendar serves as the user's record for their daily emotions.

Upmood is currently available for preorder on Kickstarter for $69. For more information about the campaign, visit
