Remind starting the school year with more than 700 customers, enterprise momentum

A typical organization sees 4.6X adoption when rostering with a Remind plan compared to organizations that don't roster

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Remind, a K-12 communication platform, today announced that 17 billion messages have been delivered to students, parents, and teachers—an increase of 70% since surpassing 10 billion messages last summer. "Every message delivered on Remind creates a connection that helps students succeed," said CEO Brian Grey. "These communication pipelines make it possible for school and district stakeholders to discover, distribute, and engage with the content they need to teach and learn."

Since 2017, when Remind first introduced enterprise plans for schools and districts, more than 700 organizations have purchased a Remind plan for their communities, including Milwaukee Public Schools and Frisco Independent School District. "We'd already been recommending Remind because it's so intuitive and easy to use, so it was a natural switch," said Teri Essy, Coordinator of Secondary Instructional Technology at Frisco ISD. "Parents wanted one easy platform for all of their communication."

To help schools and districts drive communication at every level, Remind recently expanded its rostering features to provide enterprise customers with additional options for onboarding their communities. A typical district that chooses to roster sees 4.6X adoption compared to districts that don't roster. Now, administrators can also roster their organizations by syncing their student information systems (SIS) with Remind via secure transfer.

"Integrating data across multiple systems is no longer optional: If you can't move information efficiently, you can't succeed," said Scott Anthony, Management Information Systems Manager at Consolidated High School District 230. "The ability to sync data between our Skyward student information system and Remind has been tremendously helpful. With direct sync, we can also set up automatic syncs to save us the headache of daily uploads and human error."

More than 335,000 users have joined Remind via rostering to date, and Grey expects the number to increase significantly as the new school year starts. "The back-to-school season is Remind's biggest annual growth period, and the expansion of our rostering features represents an important inflection point for our SaaS offering," Grey said. "We're looking forward to supporting even more educators, students, and parents as they begin another year."
