CLEVELAND, Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The NRP Group, a vertically integrated, best-in-class developer, builder, and manager of multifamily housing, has relocated its headquarters to the Halle Building at 1228 Euclid Avenue in Downtown Cleveland from its current offices in Garfield Heights, Ohio.

"We are thrilled to join the revitalization of historic downtown Cleveland, where the energy of the city's renaissance is palpable," said David Heller, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at The NRP Group. "When we first started looking for a new headquarters two-and-a-half years ago, we were drawn to the Halle Building because of its central location, which will now enable our employees to fully enjoy the city."

The NRP Group moved 130 employees to its new headquarters in Cleveland's Playhouse Square district. The company, which has been experiencing rapid growth in recent years, now occupies the entirety of the Halle Building's fourth floor, or 43,000-square feet, enough space to accommodate of 200 employees and an option to expand should the need arise.

"Downtown Cleveland continues to grow not only as a central business area but also as a vibrant neighborhood - home to more than 15,000 residents," said Mayor Frank G. Jackson. "The revitalization of our downtown area has been thanks to many companies – like The NPR Group - who recognize its valuable appeal as a place to work, play, live, grow and do business."

In recent years, many other Cleveland-based companies have made the move downtown from the suburbs, including Brandmuscle, Inforce Technology, Dakota Softwarem, and BrightEdge. According to the Downtown Cleveland Alliance's annual report, over 7,529 new jobs have been created in the area and 69 business have chosen a Downtown address in 2017.

The report also identified a near double population surge in recent years as over 15,000 residents now call Downtown Cleveland home and 805 apartments have been added to the market in 2017.

"Yes, businesses across the country are moving downtown and it's not just in coastal cities anymore," said Joe Marinucci, President & CEO at Downtown Cleveland Alliance. "Talented people, specifically millennials, want to work in environments like Downtown Cleveland, and having an office in Cleveland's thriving city center is increasingly being used as a recruitment tool."

The Halle Building is also conveniently located near top academic institutions including Cleveland State University, which positions the downtown area as a top destination for graduates to launch their careers.

"We have long known that younger workers are excited to be downtown and desire to live and work in a walkable city," Heller added. "But what we are finding is that our older, senior workforce are also eager for this change. We want to harness the energy of downtown to turbo-charge our already rapid growth."

By being in the rapidly transforming Downtown, employees at The NRP Group will have access to the best in entertainment, food and events Cleveland has to offer.

"Historic Downtown Cleveland has all the ingredients to keep our talented employees happy," said Richard K. Schultz, vice president of human resources at The NRP Group. "Now we are energized when we step out of the office and inspired when we sit at our desks."
