AUBURN, Ala., Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- If you happen to be cruising through the rural Deep South, you may come to a crossroad where the sounds of Soul meet Rock n' Roll, a bit of Beach Music, and R&B. It's at this magical and musical place where the Reverend Bubba D. Liverance and his Cornhole Prophets deliver their message of fun. Their latest offering, Chicks Dig Me is more about partying than preaching, and they do it all with a nine-piece brass band. So, you'll want to pull over, drop the top and pop a top. You're about to be delivered.

Chicks Dig Me is the follow up to Rev. Bubba's 2016 release entitled Haint Blue Deluxe, and it's their fifth full-length album since 2012. Rev. Bubba D. Liverance, (Mike Hooks,) is no stranger to success. His previous albums have yielded five separate chart- toppers and multiple top-ten tunes - including Cashbox Magazine's Beach Music Top 40 Charts. SiriusXM Radio has several of their singles in regular rotation on the Carolina Shag Channel. "Be My Sugar" - a pre-release off Chicks Dig Me - is currently climbing various regional music charts.

Rev. Bubba D. Liverance grew up on Southern music and calls himself "The Right Reverend of Rock 'n' Soul." His artistic influences run the gamut, including the likes of The Beatles, Motown, Wilson Pickett, and Percy Sledge. The creative collision of genres found within Chicks Dig Me exemplify Hooks' musical development over the decades as a musician and songwriter. He explains, "The songs on Chicks Dig Me are 'story songs'. I aimed for three minutes of escapism. Listeners can forget their worries and enjoy themselves and if they can dance, well that's a bonus!"

Key tracks on Chicks Dig Me include "Call Me Frosty," with its fast moving, retro-rock style, hard hitting brass lines and Rev. Bubba D. Liverance's strong vocal prowess. "Let Me Break It Down" is a slower-tempo piece, with a heartfelt theme, showing the Reverend can indeed write in almost any style. "Be My Sugar" is already on the charts, with a Beach Music and pop-flavored appeal, it proves with a pun - Hooks can write hooks.

Mike Hooks composed and arranged all eight tracks on Chicks Dig Me. He also relied heavily on the talents of collaborator Sam Hankins, a three-octave tenor, who did all the background vocal arrangements. Also, Mike called upon gifted saxophonist Jonas Schultz for horn arrangements on the album. Are you ready for a self-proclaimed Reverend who gets up in front of a crowd to exclaim, "Chicks Dig Me?" If so, get ready for a "Rock n' Soul Filled Funday" with Reverend Bubba D. Liverance and his Cornhole Prophets.
