PITTSBURGH, Aug. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Anyone who has ever left behind a cell phone, wallet or other item on a plane because they forgot it was in the seat back pouch will appreciate the creative thinking of an inventor from Highland Ranch, Colo. She found a way to remind travelers to empty the pouch before leaving the plane.

She developed FORGET ME KNOT to provide a means of identifying personal items left behind in seat back pockets of airplanes and automobiles. At the same time, it serves as a reminder that personal property is inside the pocket, reducing the chances of forgetting to retrieve items. Furthermore, since it can be imprinted with business logos, it can serve as a business marketing tool visible to other travelers. Besides that, this tag saves the time and effort otherwise required to search for forgotten valuables. It is also safe, practical and easy to use. Other appealing features include convenience, effectiveness and an affordable price.

The inventor's personal observation inspired the idea. "Many people routinely leave behind high-value items, like wallets and electronic devices, in vehicle seat-back pockets and are not aware of it until later and sometimes never see it again," she said. "This invention will provide a visible reminder to retrieve the item(s)."
