PITTSBURGH, Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- While conventional umbrellas are effective protection against rain and snow, they don't do much to help light the way in cloudy weather on dark nights. Fortunately, an inventor from Grand Junction, Colo., has conceived of a way to fill this void.

She developed BRELLA BRIGHT to provide hands-free lighted protection from rain and snow. As such, it is particularly helpful for elderly and disabled individuals. In other words, it enhances safety since it improves visibility at night and in dimly lit areas. Thus, it lowers the risk of trips, slips and falls in inclement weather, affording peace of mind in hazardous weather conditions. This redesigned umbrella is also practical, durable and easy to use. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I wanted to improve mobility in wet weather for anyone but specifically for elderly and handicapped individuals," she said, "as well as others who are recovering from an injury, surgery or similar issue."

The original design was submitted to the National Sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
