Camelot ITLab Introduces Blockchain Accelerator Package for Mobile Device Management

Solution helps fight theft of mobile devices

MEDIA, Pa. (PRWEB) August 21, 2018

Camelot Innovative Technologies Lab (Camelot ITLab) today announced its Blockchain Accelerator for Mobile Device Management, powered by SAP Leonardo. The new solution helps end the re-use of stolen mobile devices. It is another successful milestone in Camelot's track record of providing pioneering digital solutions based on SAP Leonardo technologies. Camelot takes part in the SAP Leonardo Partner Medallion Initiative to develop and deliver new innovations to serve businesses that use SAP solutions globally.

The new Camelot ITLab accelerator features a blockchain-based list of mobile phone serial numbers and their owners that is accessible to all operators, smart phone producers and end customers. It can be used to blacklist lost or stolen mobile devices. If an operator blacklists a serial number, the information is shared with all participants of the blockchain network – safely and in real-time. This can prevent the device from being used with the SIM card of another provider.

"The re-use of stolen smart phones is a serious issue for network operators, device producers and above all corporate or private end customers. With our new blockchain accelerator package powered by SAP Leonardo we provide an innovative solution tailored exactly to the needs of these stakeholders. It is another addition to our pioneering product and service offering in the areas of blockchain and SAP Leonardo," said Aseem Gaur, Chief Leonardo Officer at Camelot ITLab.

The Blockchain Accelerator for Mobile Device Management, powered by SAP Leonardo, provides a fixed-price solution (software and services bundle) before the integration of SAP software and design thinking methodology.

"Camelot's recognition within the SAP Leonardo Partner Medallion Initiative confirms our first-mover expertise in leveraging SAP Leonardo technologies to drive our client's digital transformation. Our partnership with SAP helps our clients innovate faster and safer," said Dr. Josef Packowski, CEO Camelot Consulting Group.

"The SAP Leonardo Partner Medallion Initiative was created to give customers access to SAP's trusted ecosystem to help solve the most strategic digital transformation challenges," said Mike Flannagan, senior vice president, SAP Leonardo and Analytics, SAP. "As a long-standing SAP partner with proven SAP Leonardo expertise, we are happy to have Camelot ITLab on board."

Digital EXPERIENCE², Camelot's product and service portfolio for digital innovation, is based on SAP Leonardo foundation technologies. It allows clients to experience and accelerate the return on investment of new digital technologies. Digital EXPERIENCE² leverages Camelot's industry, domain and technology know-how to identify and implement individual digital use cases in less than four weeks.

Regarding the innovative blockchain technology, Hartmut Müller, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Telekom IT GmbH said, "Blockchain is a disruptive technology with great potential. It was important for us to work with an expert consulting organization who has proven expertise in this field. Camelot and their blockchain-based Hypertrust Platform fully convinced us."
