HOUSTON (PRWEB) August 14, 2018

Ron Zach, president and CEO of NRL Mortgage, has been selected by the Houston Business Journal as an honoree for its 2018 Most Admired CEO Awards—joining an impressive roster of for-profit leaders from the Houston area. The award is a testament to Zach's relentless pursuit to be one of the top mortgage banks in the industry while providing excellent leadership and customer service. Zach will receive the award on August 23 at a luncheon hosted at the Hilton Americas-Houston.

"As a Houston native, this award is a recognition that I share not only with my colleagues and staff at NRL but with the larger community that has helped foster the tremendous growth of NRL," Zach said. "It truly takes the effort of each and every individual to be able to realize and enjoy NRL's success over the past few years. I dedicate this award to this community of hard-working people, and hope that we can share many more such accolades in the years to come."

Zach officially joined NRL as president and CEO in 2012 but has been a part of the company since its inception in 2007. NRL began with one branch office and five employees. Eleven years later, the company has grown to epic proportions with 70 branches in 46 states—boasting 500 employees. Zach and his team, with strategic vision coupled with clear intention, lead the company today with one core value statement: "I CARE." The acronym stands for integrity, commitment, accountability, reliability, and empowerment. Zach and his employees practice and thrive on these values.

"Ron is a first generation American and through his hard work and dedication, he has become very respected in the mortgage industry and within Houston," said Mewael Ghebremichael, Chief Production Officer of NRL Mortgage. "He embodies the true spirit of the American Dream. He is the ideal leader that every associate would want to support—because of his charisma, kind demeanor, constant support and open-door policy. Ron receives this award as recognition from his company. However, it is nothing in comparison to what he's given us."

Zach began his career in the mortgage industry in 2001, quickly rising to become president and CEO of NRL in 2012. Before Zach's leadership, NRL was a small, local lender with a presence mainly in the Houston area. A true believer in growth through acquisition, Zach grew the company by acquiring branches and positioning NRL as a nationwide lender. By rebranding the company's logo, strategy, and vision, the company has been positioned for supreme growth with production volume surpassing 100 percent in 2017.

Outside of work, Zach is on the board of trustees for the Jewish Community Center in Houston and serves as a board member of the Bellaire Little League. With a strong emphasis on volunteering and giving to charity, NRL Mortgage donates regularly to the Houston Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, and Dress for Success.
