The Global CISO Forum, EC-Council's largest executive-level conference, will focus its 2018 edition on applying the lessons from "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" to cybersecurity. The event will be in Atlanta, GA for the sixth year in a row on September 13 & 14. The Global CISO Forum speaker committee has combed through the dizzying stack of submissions to form the agenda for this year's conference with a special focus on presentations that take the lessons from The Guide to heart and apply them to the cyberwars being fought every day across the world.

The agenda for the Forum has now been posted and highlights presentations from the best in the infosec industry. The talks chosen resonate with the theme of the conference as well as current events in infosec and beyond. The opening keynote presentation is actually a panel debate moderated by industry veteran Winn Schwartau. The focus of the debate is artificial intelligence, entitled Security & AI: To Serve Man. The panel features Mark Rasch, Chief Security Evanglist at Verizon and Aaron Lint, Vice President of Research at Arxan Technologies.

The Forum is invitation-only and open to director-level information security practitioners at the director level or above. This year's agenda features several top names including John Felker, Director at the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center; Anthony Dupree, CIO & CISO at Career Builder; Phil Agcaoili, Senior VP, US Bank & CISO at Elavon; and Clarissa Banks, VP, COO - Information Security at E*TRADE; among others.

Prior to the kickoff of the Global CISO Forum, EC-Council will once again host its black-tie awards gala to celebrate executives in four categories. The CISO Awards were created to identify and celebrate the amazing work being done around the world by executives dedicated to improving the information security of their respective companies, governments, and organizations. The categories include CISO of the Year, Certified CISO of the Year, Most Promising New CISO, and the Presidential Award, a special honor to a CISO who has contributed to the industry in a meaningful way as chosen by EC-Council President, Jay Bavisi. The award is intended to spotlight special achievements that may be overlooked in other categories.
