Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added international arbitration and dispute resolution attorneys Tomás Leonard and Nicole Y. Silver in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. They join as shareholders in the Litigation and Latin American & Iberian practices. Previously, Leonard was a partner and Silver was of counsel at Winston & Strawn, LLP.

"The addition of Tomás and Nicole enhances our capabilities in the practice areas and markets key to meeting the needs of our global clients. Their focus and experience in Latin America matters adds to our award-winning LatAm practice," said Laura Metcoff Klaus and Robert Mangas, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig's Washington, D.C. office.

Leonard focuses his practice on international arbitration and international litigation covering primarily foreign direct investment (FDI) in Latin American countries. She advises Sovereign States and private clients in international arbitration proceedings, including arbitrations before ICSID and the PCA under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitration Rules. Silver also represents clients in complex civil litigation, including products liability litigation and white collar criminal defense. Her experience includes preparing motions for district courts, various U.S. courts of appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

"We are proud of our team's award-winning reputation for real-world experience throughout our global platform but particularly regarding our LatAm and Iberian Practice, and we are always excited to be able to welcome practitioners like Tomás and Nicole," said Patricia Menéndez-Cambó, who serves as Vice Chair of Greenberg Traurig and was the firm's first Chair of the Global Practice through which she launched the Latin American and Iberian Practice. "They have a global viewpoint as well as a focus on quality that is closely aligned with our team and our clients, and we look forward to the interchange of talent and strategy."

"We are excited to have Tomás and Nicole join Greenberg Traurig as their international arbitration and litigation capabilities strategically complement our team's core strengths," said Lori G. Cohen and Jeff E. Scott, co-chairs of the firm's Global Litigation Practice, which has more than 600 attorneys firmwide.
