The Most Dangerous Intersections in Rochester

Share:

Albany, New York personal injury attorneys Martin, Harding & Mazzotti LLP® recently submitted a FOIL request to the NYSDOT seeking traffic accident data in Monroe County from January of 2015 through December of 2016.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (PRWEB) August 08, 2018

Martin, Harding & Mazzotti team members then reviewed the data to identify the most dangerous intersections in the region. The two years of data, with over 20,000 reported accidents, was reviewed and consolidated and each intersection scored based on a weighted formula. The result is a detailed reporting of which Rochester Area intersections carry a higher risk for drivers.

The team in charge of the review was also able to extract additional details from the report as well, highlighting the most common accident types, weather conditions, light conditions, roadway surface conditions and even collision type. Managing partner Paul Harding said, "This is an ongoing effort by Martin, Harding & Mazzotti to help raise awareness of problem areas in our communities. We have offices throughout New York and Vermont, and we are working to complete this study in as many locations as possible. Improving safety and awareness in whatever way we can is always our primary goal."

The data derived from the study can be found at:
