Voxox and Telenor's Digi Roll Out Omni Hotline to Empower Small Businesses in Malaysia

Voxox powers virtual PBX service Omni Hotline in Malaysia with localized telephone numbers and service

As part of the agreement, Digi is white labeling Voxox Cloud Phone and is now offering the service in Malaysia under the brand Omni Hotline, complete with Malaysian telephone numbers. This is the first implementation of Voxox Cloud Phone with a foreign carrier. Digi serves 11.7 million Malaysian customers, providing mobile connectivity and internet services.

Voxox will host the Omni Hotline service from its Los Angeles and Singapore data centers and will support local billing in Malaysia through a merchant payment gateway integration. Voxox is integrating into Digi's network through SIP and SMPP connectivity.

Similar to Voxox Cloud Phone, Omni Hotline will enable small businesses to easily obtain local numbers that support unlimited extensions and advanced call routing capabilities. Users can place and receive calls, manage call activity, access features such as voicemail transcription, call recording, device transfer, and much more -- all within a sleek, web-based and mobile user interface. No special equipment or advanced skills are necessary to use the service. Once a Do It Yourself (DIY) set-up is completed online, all that a user needs is a calling device (e.g., mobile or landline phone) to which calls can be routed.

Omni Hotline will be leveraging Voxox's patent-pending breakthrough VoIP codec, a technology used to encode and compress voice signals into digital form for transmission. This is particularly significant for small businesses with a dispersed or traveling workforce, as the codec dramatically improves voice quality in poor bandwidth settings, such as hotels, convention centers, rural locations, etc.
