Larson Electronics LLC Releases Three Phase 480V to 208Y/120V Temporary Power Distribution

KEMP, Texas, Aug. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics LLC, a leader of industrial lighting, released a portable power distribution substation that gives operators the flexibility to utilize 480V AC three phase electrical current to power 208Y/120V AC three-phase equipment on a single system. This 100-amp 75KVA power distribution panel contains three 100-amp time delay fuses, and twelve 50-amp 2-pole 250V breakers on the secondary side, protecting twelve 50-amp 250V CS8269 receptacles. This unit is ideal for indoor and outdoor use in plant turnarounds, shipyards and other temporary industrial applications.

On the primary side, operators connect three-phase 480V line-in power via a customer-provided cord. On the secondary side, operators connect to twelve, CS8269 receptacles for 208V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers.

This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking casters, and a top located lifting eyelet allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.



The MPD-480D-75KVA-208Y.120-12X50A.208 is a 480V 3 phase portable power distribution substation that converts three phase 480V AC to 208Y/120V AC from a single power source. The primary side of this 75KVA unit distributes 480V using customer-provided cord to connect to a variety of power sources including generators or direct grid power. The 100-amp primary disconnect contains three 10-amp time delay fuses.

On the secondary side, the unit has twelve receptacles to power a variety of applications. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 225-amp 208Y/120V three phase main circuit breaker panel.  This secondary panel contains twelve, 50-amp 2-pole 250V breakers protecting twelve, 50-amp 250V CS8269 receptacles. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers to protect against unpredictable outdoor conditions.

The MPD-480D-45KVA-208Y.120-12X120.20A-20C temporary transformer is mounted to a carbon steel platform with forklift skid pockets, locking casters and top located eyelet for easy lifting and transportation. The unit is ruggedly constructed to withstand tough working environments during operational use. The unit is compliant with the NFPA 70 National Electric code, certified to UL 1640 and has a NEMA 3R rating that provides protection against dirt and water in open or confined spaces.
