Market Overview

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Rittenhouse is excited to announce the completion of a $10 million redesign for 96 of its guestrooms and suites, inspired by the aesthetic of the hotel's renowned Park Suites and recently-reimagined R Floor. For over 25 years, The Rittenhouse has captured the hearts of guests from around the world with its timeless elegance, personalized service, exceptional culinary offerings and well-appointed luxury accommodations just steps from the pristine lawns of Rittenhouse Square. Although the iconic hotel will continue to reinvest and make updates to remain fresh, this is the final piece of a large-scale revitalization that began in 2013 with the reimagining of The Rittenhouse Spa & Club and build out of both the Library Bar and the Park Suites. This also comes on the heels of The Rittenhouse's 2017, $1 million update to their grand ballroom and event spaces.

While the unsurpassed square footage of The Rittenhouse's room product (the largest being the 1700 square foot Rittenhouse suite on the R floor) remains a driving force in the Philadelphia market, new design elements such as high-end furnishings, updated technology, and luxury finishes ensure that every component of The Rittenhouse boasts unmatched elegance in Center City.

Each upgraded guestroom and suite (ranging from the 450 square foot City View Queen room to the 1400 square foot Presidential Suite) offers enhanced WiFi, 55" or 65" TVs, an on-demand movie system, Lutron dimmable LED lighting, new luxury bedding, a superior workspace and tasteful yet contemporary furniture and décor. Stunning silver travertine bathrooms are punctuated by integrated shower amenities and soaking tubs in select guestrooms and suites, extending luxury and comfort to every corner of these refreshed accommodations.

"This refined redesign along with practical functionality, supreme comfort and all of the amenities and services round out The Rittenhouse experience," says General Manager Reginald Archambault, "offering guests the largest and most luxurious room product in Philadelphia."

The enhanced guestrooms call for a realignment of room categories, one of those being the newly-appointed Mary Cassatt Suite. Formerly the Executive Suite, the Mary Cassatt Suite draws design inspiration from its namesake - the famed Philadelphia artist and eponymous lobby-level tea room in the hotel. A display case of classic teatime china, inspired artwork and a vast selection of in-room Newby Teas will echo the historical roots of The Rittenhouse and its rich afternoon tea tradition while providing a one-of-a-kind stay for the modern traveler and tea enthusiast.

Also included in this redesign is the complete refresh of The Presidential Suite – taking The Rittenhouse's most impeccably-appointed suite and elevating the finishes and technology to cater to today's modern, distinguished clientele.

The Rittenhouse is located at 210 West Rittenhouse Square. For more information about the redesigned guestrooms and suites, expanded offerings and other promotions or additional information, please visit
