Insight Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School Grows Career Prep Programs for the 2018-2019 School Year


Online Classes are Back in Session September 4

Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School
(ISPA) will start the 2018-2019
school year on September 4, simply by turning on their computers. A
full-time, tuition-free online public charter school entering its second
year of operation, ISPA is open to students in grades K-11 throughout
the state. The online school will grow to serve K-12 in the 2019-2020
school year.

ISPA provides each student with a personalized online learning
experience. Students at all grade levels engage in a rigorous curriculum
in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and
music. High school students have the opportunity to take career focused
courses through ISPA's Destinations
Career Program
. The program introduces students to specialty trade
skills through online career technical education courses in fields of
business administration, health sciences and information technology,
gaining them a valuable edge as they prepare for future careers and

Shannon McElwain. "Whether our students plan to go to college or enter
in-demand career fields, the online learning platform and our dedicated
teachers are here to offer a learning experience that uniquely supports
each student."

Pennsylvania-licensed teachers facilitate ISPA's live, interactive
online classes. To keep students on track, ISPA deploys a Family
Academic Support Team (FAST). FAST offers integrated support to
families, teachers and students, with the goal of improving attendance,
engagement and academic outcomes. Along with community partners, FAST
aims to prevent and eliminate the barriers that can leave students
vulnerable to falling behind, before such needs arise.

Throughout the year, ISPA builds a sense of community through in-person
field trips, community service opportunities and social outings. Virtual
clubs and student organizations also allow students to further explore
their interests together in the online setting.

ISPA is accepting enrollment applications for the 2018-2019 school year.
